Every tote bag and backpack is different. The body of these bags are made from 15 ounce duck canvas. The green webbing is surplus, with a lot of it coming from a 1966 dated roll of 79% cotton, 21% Fortisan (an extra strong rayon yarn). The distinctive translucent overlay is a tribute to survival gear, and is made from ripstop nylon from C-9 parachute canopies.
Each tote bag are only 1 of 20 made. Some are all orange, some all white, some have a little bit of both. No two are the same.
Every bag includes has a unique piece of vintage reading material inside, to hopefully give you a window into the midcentury outdoors world that this project is honoring.
